Declarations and Core Doctrine

Jesus is the Truth.

1. Jesus is the Truth. He is of ultimate worth and value.

2. Salvation is through faith in Christ's death and resurrection alone.

3. Jesus was born as a man, without sin, and willingly laid down His life in our place. He rose from the dead and is at the Father's right-hand making intercession for us.

4. Jesus is the Word of God and is God. He is not the creation of God but the actual incarnation of God as a human within time. He is Emmanuel, God with us.

5. Jesus is the only way to fellowship with the Father. No one comes to the Father but through Jesus.

6. We believe in the revelation of one God as three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All things were made through the Word by the Holy Spirit according to the will of the Father. Salvation was brought to humankind through Jesus by the Holy Spirit according to the will of the Father. All doctrines that seek to use Jesus's name but not honor Him, supplant Jesus with the teaching of man as a mediator between God and man, and/or add to or take away scripture are not permitted Jesus is the ultimate foundation and the cornerstone of all true doctrine True doctrine brings glory to the sufficiency of Christ; His work is finished and complete.

We Are Servants within a Kingdom.

1. God's will is sovereign, omnipotent, and omniscient; He is the ultimate Authority.

2. God has no need of us, but desires for us to enter into His good work.

3. our service to God is a freewill offering of love to God. Jesus paid the price so we can freely give, not as slaves but as His children and friends.

4. God has established authority within His kingdom, we will honor, respect, and obey those placed in authority over us wherever it is lawful and without sin to do so. This is pleasing to God.

5. Within the Kingdom of Heaven, the command to love one another is always present. We pledge to honor, serve, bless, and forgive one another in prayer, thought, and in deed.

6. Any purpose or agenda that seeks to establish itself as essential to God's will and necessary to His plan will be tested; by scripture, by its spirit, and by its fruit. All good purposes conform to the scripture and the work of Christ.

The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit

1. We at Dayspring proclaim that the Holy Spirit is alive and working within us and in the Kingdom of Heaven. We believe that all the gifts and fruits of the Spirit are available to us and are here to empower us in the work of the Kingdom. Faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit, Miracles, signs, and wonders do not impart faith but rather bear witness to an Almighty God who loves and interacts with people.

2. The gifts of the Spirit are to be freely asked for and freely received.

3. We will not test God or people. Commanding a manifestation of spiritual gifts from God or individuals is not in keeping with scripture. It is for God to give as He chooses and, by His grace, for us to receive freely.
